Natalie Portman plays former first lady Jackie Kennedy and tells her story following the assassination of her husband. The film is heavily based off an interview with Life magazine. Jackie remained at the White House for two weeks following JFK’s assassination and requested that Lyndon B. Johnson rename the space center in Florida to the John F. Kennedy Space Center. Which he did.

Beck Weathers’ wrote about his survival during the 1996 Mount Everest disaster, Left for Dead: My Journey Home From Everest. Weathers was just one of eight who were being guided through Mount Everest, not long after, a massive blizzard plowed through but Weathers survived (although just barely) and made it back home.
