Yes, he’s acted in shows like CSI: Miami and Monk but his final credit is as an Iranian Officer in 5th & Alameda. However, Ackert is a published author whose work has been in the LA Times, the Wall Street Journal and much more. He’s a business development mentor and President of The Ackert Advisory and founder of a pipeline management software called Practice Pipeline.

Afshar played Osman Rashid on JAG. After Ali Afshar and his family fled the Iranian Revolution, they settled in California and Ali soon found himself in the high school wrestling community. Now this producer and actor has appeared in tons of projects and even told his family story in the Warner Bros. production, American Wrestler: The Wizard, starring Jon Voigt. He told The Washington Times, “This movie is about me and my family. Obviously we made it a more entertaining story, so we took some Hollywood liberties. But the whole theme of this movie is hope, inspiration — showing the American dream.” This incredible star is still acting today, as shown with his recent role as Cyrus in the movie Motocross.
