The Legacy Continues

Back in 2016, Little House on the Prairie began airing reruns on COZI TV, except for the 8th and 9th seasons. In addition, you can find reruns playing on INSP and the Hallmark Channel. In 1997, TV Guide named the episode “I’ll Be Waving as You Drive Away” as 97 in the ‘100 Greatest Episodes of All Time.’ That’s not all! Little House on the Prairie even made it to Spanish shores by the late 1970’s as La Casa de la Pradera. It became so popular there that some of the cast won highly esteemed Spanish TV awards!

Landon After Little House On The Prairie

Once Landon moved on from Little House on the Prairie after 1982, he starred with LHOTP costar Victor French, who was Isaiah Edwards, in Highway to Heaven. Just before his death, Landon was in a two hour pilot for a CBS show called Us. In 1991, the same year, he got voted for TV Guide’s 50 Sexiest Stars of All Time. Landon married three times within his life and had a total of eight kids. Unfortunately, he passed away a in 1991, a few months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Despite his untimely death, fans will never forget the legacy he left behind from acting, writing, producing and direction.
