Treats, Treats & More Treats

All dogs LOVE treats, so why not use them as a toy or game? Go around your house and hide treats for your pup to find. They’ll use their nose to look for the tasty finds. Start out with the treats all in one room and once they get the hang of it, make the entire house fair game. Have your pup sit and stay while you hide the yummy treats…boy, we know that won’t be easy! Want to make things more challenging? Hide the treats out of sight so your pup will have to rely primarily on his/her nose. Although this game may seem basic, it’ll be a nice mental workout while keeping your dog active.

Tug Of War

Warning: owners you will get a workout along with your dog…this is a physically demanding activity! Just grab a tug toy and you’ll be able to test your dog’s mental and physical abilities. . Minute for minute tug is one of the most physically & mentally challenging games you can play with your dog. And the best part is you don’t need a ton of room to play, so it’s a great way to exercise your dog on rainy days. Amazingly, dogs who play tug with their owners have higher confidence and are usually more obedient.

Kong

Kongs are the new rage! Stuff food in your Kong and your dog will be busy for hours! Freeze a Kong overnight or add some peanut butter or low sodium broth. Can you believe the Kong is nontoxic, indestructible, and dishwasher safe??? Sounds amazing!

Bubbles

No, bubbles are not just for babies! Your dog will have a ball chasing those strange balls in the air; they’ll be happy, entertained and it’s a great form of exercise! They actually make dog bubbles, but if you decide to go with children’s bubbles, do not fret, they are nontoxic!

Fetch
