Doesn’t get much better than the real life story of Maria Belón. In 2004, Maria and her family manage to survive the Indian Ocean tsunami (Thailand) while on Christmas vacation. Belón, her husband Enrique, and their three sons are all separated by the tragic tsunami. In the midst of chaos, Belón is critically wounded but manages to reunite with her son Lucas. As they are seeking medical attention, Lucas stumbles upon his father and two brothers in a hospital! Now Belón is a public speaker and advocate for tsunami survivors.
