One of the actresses from the Golden Age in Hollywood, Olivia de Havilland achieved ultimate stardom. Looking back on her career, many remember her best for roles in The Heiress, Gone with the Wind, To Each His Own and The Adventures of Robin Hood. Although the former actress retired over 30 years ago, we’re still celebrating her achievements in the arts. Just before her 101st birthday in June 2017, she was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire, becoming the oldest to receive that honor. Her sister was the late, legendary actress Jane Fontaine.
