This is probably one of the top tips seniors should follow! If you’re unable to do some form of physical activity every day, aim to do it at least 3 or 4 times a week. Find something that you can easily do and something that you will enjoy. Exercise such as long walks or short strolls can keep seniors healthier for longer.

Another important tip that will for sure keep seniors healthy is by eating nutritious foods in the right amounts. Many illnesses, such as heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, or type 2 diabetes can be prevented or controlled with dietary changes. And don’t forget to drink plenty of water every day!

We also highly recommend that you make time for friends and family to help you feel connected. This a fun way to keep busy and enhance positive thinking.
Quit Smoking
For many, this may be something difficult to do, especially if its been a bad habit for too many years. But this is an enormous step that can improve your health and slow down the aging process. Smoking can cause cancer, strokes, and heart failure. If you think you’re unable to quit on your own, there are many resources for seniors to help kick the habit.
Get Regular Dental, Vision & Hearing Checkups
As we age, our bodies tend to weaken as well. For seniors who wear prescription glasses, it’s so important for them to get a yearly vision test. Having the correct pair of glasses can also reduce seniors from falling. Regular dental checkups are also so vital, but also make sure to properly brush and floss your teeth on a daily basis. Hearing loss occurs commonly with aging, often due to exposure to loud noise, so be ashamed if you’re in need of a hearing age- it will only help you!
