After meeting on the set of Nicholas Sparks’ film The Notebook, in 2015, these two began dating. Sadly, they split in 2008, but we will always remember their iconic kiss from the film, which won them the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss. Of the breakup and aftermath Ryan Gosling explained to GQ how devastated fans were, saying, “Women are mad at me. A girl came up to me on the street and she almost smacked me. Like, ‘How could you? How could you let a girl that go?’ I feel like I want to give people hugs, they seem so sad. Rachel and I should be the ones getting hugs! Instead, we’re consoling everybody else.”
