You might be surprised to learn what Idris Elba does with his large sum of money in the bank. One important thing to remember is that it all comes down to giving something back. It makes no difference whether you wish someone Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas; if you keep reading, you’ll find out what high-profile celebrities like Drake and Drew Barrymore get up to during the holiday season. This year, many other men, including Justin Timberlake and Ryan Reynolds, are fathers to young children; as a result, you can anticipate seeing a lot of awful Christmas sweaters and cookies being baked by these fathers. Many of us, including Ariana Grande, place a high value on maintaining close relationships with our loved ones.
Who doesn’t enjoy a good holiday photo shoot? Celebrities, too, enjoy themselves! Millie Bobby Brown’s Instagram account demonstrates that she is just like any other kid, despite her role as Eleven on Stranger Things. Despite having images from magazine shoots, she maintains that she is still a child who adores her family. Her sister, whom she refers to as #bae, even got matching Christmas pajamas!
Shakira
Shakira is famous for her “don’t lie” hips, but she also enjoys spending time with her family. It’s good to know that this hardworking singer and her soccer husband, Gerard Piqué, take time to appreciate the little things with their kids, like taking them to Nick’s basketball game on Christmas Day or creating gingerbread man cookies for the first time!
Shakira has admitted that after the birth of her second child, she is thinking about retiring to spend more time with her children, as motherhood has always been her dream.
Emilia Clarke
Emilia Clarke, best recognized for her portrayal as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, is more than simply a television leader. Clarke is active in online political activity and charity endeavors. One topic close to her heart is ensuring that nurses receive adequate salaries and recognition.
She chose to honor nurses working in the United Kingdom’s National Health Care Service last Christmas, and she became an ambassador for the Royal College of Nursing in 2018.
Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake has no qualms about eating the Christmas cookies his child has left out for Santa, as evidenced by this post from last year, in which he wore a sweater with an image of Santa that read: “Ask Your Mom If I’m Real.”
Timberlake and Biel have one son, Silas, but have both expressed interest in having another child shortly. Perhaps one of Silas’ Christmas presents this year will be a card announcing that he will be a big brother!
Drake
Did you know that rapper and musician Drake is Jewish? The Canadian native attended Hebrew school and was nurtured by a mother who instilled Jewish ideals in him. Drake is also known for being extremely philanthropic, such as providing a recording studio to a Philadelphia high school and contributing money to a widow with five children.
Drake has also been known to offer his buddies who celebrate Christmas gifts such as limited edition sneakers and $10,000—being friends with someone can pay off.
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande is so into Christmas that she has an EP called Christmas & Chill. When she and Santa pulled the switch to light up the Empire State Building for the holidays in 2013, she made all Christmas fans jealous.
She took a more relaxed approach to the holiday last year, celebrating with a ski trip. Everyone knows how important her family is to her, and you can bet she’ll be spending Christmas with her Nonna, mama, and brother this year in sunny Florida.
Idris Elba
Did you know that Idris Elba, best known for his dashing good looks and performances in television shows like Luther and the American film The Dark Tower, once starred in a Christmas film? He did, after all. Although the film received mixed reviews, one can assume that his children Isan and Winston would love seeing it as part of a family tradition.
They might also love accompanying their father on philanthropic activities, particularly when he dresses up as Santa and visits youngsters at Newham and Whipps Cross Hospitals.
Dwayne Johnson
Have you ever wondered why The Rock can play such a wonderful father on screen? It should be no surprise that he is also a real-life father. Johnson is very proud of his eldest daughter, Simone, with whom he posed for this charming portrait in front of their tree.
He maintains a healthy relationship with his ex, Dany Garcia, The Rock’s manager, producing partner, and Simone’s mother. This year, the wrestler-turned-actor will also be accompanied by his two youngest daughters.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo, a forward for the Italian club Juventus and the Portugal national team, took some time off to celebrate Christmas with his family. You can tell that family comes first for this great Portuguese footballer.
Cristiano has four children, the most recent of which was born six weeks before Christmas in 2017! I’m sure he’ll be much more delighted to celebrate baby Alana’s second Christmas when she can sample some of grandma’s food!
Drew Barrymore
Drew Barrymore adores the holiday season. The bubbly actress is so committed to giving her daughters happy holiday memories that she reunited with their father for the occasion last year.
One can only imagine how much Olive and Frankie love each other. Nothing beats spending the night before Christmas sleeping next to their mom and having dad there to open presents with them in the morning.
Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively
Reynolds is as sappy as the superhero he plays onscreen, but his off-screen good looks compensate for his lack of baking skills, as his wife, actress Blake Lively, claimed when she posted photos of Reynolds’ burnt and poorly-frosted holiday cookies.
Reynolds and Lively had their first child in 2016. We wonder if the Reynolds/Lively Christmas tree is prettier than their cookies. Despite Ryan’s strained relationship with his father, family holiday traditions are important to him and Blake.
Chris Hemsworth
Emilia Clarke was not the only celebrity concerned about healthcare workers during the holidays. Chris Hemsworth provided a shout-out and rode the waves to raise funds for Cancer Council Australia last year.
You must admire a man who not only plays a superhero on screen but also spends his vacations promoting awareness and funds for worthy causes! Hemsworth even wore a Christmas-themed rash guard while surfing the waves. We also know how much this blue-eyed blonde star adores his wife and twin daughters.
Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence appears to be starting a new annual tradition of watching her 2016 MTV After Hours Special Christmas Sleepover, which she filmed with her friend Chris Pratt. Although there have been rumors of a romance between the two, they enjoy being goofy together.
What better way to celebrate Christmas than remaking favorite Christmas carols into death metal songs and hitting Santa over the head with a plate of cookies? Lawrence also stopped at a local hospital to deliver toys to hospitalized children, one of her annual Christmas traditions.
Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick celebrated with Jimmy Kimmel and Darlene Love last December by singing “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” with The Roots. Anna referred to the photo of herself, Jimmy, and Darlene as her 2017 Christmas card.
But, like many others, Kendrick, who grew up in Portland, Maine, values the opportunity to return home for the holidays. One might imagine her enjoying Christmas with her boyfriend, Ben Richardson, in front of a fireplace in her parents’ house this year.
Rashida Jones
Millie Bobby Brown isn’t the only one looking forward to spending Christmas with her sister! Rashida Jones enjoys spending time with her sisters, particularly her older sister Kidada, who is seen in this 2017 holiday photo with Rashida.
Rashida had a baby this fall, so she’ll most likely be spending Hanukkah with her and Ezra Koenig’s new small little human. We’re sure they’ll have a terrific time! Their mother reared Rashida and her sister Kidada as Jews.
Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys and Swiss Beatz, a music producer and rapper have two children and have been married since 2010. Swiss and Alicia had a little fun with an Instagram image last year showing them in front of their fully decorated tree, posing as though Swiss was perched on Alicia’s shoulders.
Alicia and Swiss have known each other since high school, so they’ve had plenty of opportunities to crack jokes.
Ricky Martin
Some folks like a little leisure and relaxation during the holidays. Last Christmas, Ricky Martin and his painter husband, Ywan Josef, partied in front of a pool in Puerto Rico.
Ricky is the youngest of six siblings, four brothers, and one sister, and comes from a Catholic family. Ricky and his husband live in Beverly Hills, but Ricky was born in San Juan. Therefore, he and his husband were most likely visiting Ricky’s family members.
Neymar Jr.
Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t the only prominent footballer who takes time off around the holidays to spend time with his family. Neymar Jr. enjoys Christmas with his mother, father, and sister Rafaella Beckran.
What a close relationship! Rafaella and Neymar are so close that they have tattoos honoring their love for one another as siblings. On his arm, Neymar has a tattoo of his sister’s face, while she has a tattoo of his eyes on her arm.
Rihanna
Badgalriri, as she is known on Instagram, never stops moving. Rihanna has created beauty products and clothing in addition to her stellar music. Her Instagram account is filled with photographs of her modeling, acting, and promoting several items.
However, everyone knows Rihanna has a very playful side and would never pass up the opportunity to throw a good party, so we have to assume Rihanna does something relaxing but decadent to celebrate time with Santa.
Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson has been a household name since winning the first season of American Idol, and it appears that no matter how much time passes, she always manages to stay in the spotlight.
When she took her first family holiday photo with her then-new husband, Brandon Blackstock, and two step-children in 2013, she took the awkward family Christmas photo to a new level. Clarkson and Blackstock now have two children of their own. Maybe we’ll see a full-family version of this uncomfortable shot this year.
Mariah Carey
This year, Mariah Carey shocked many people when she bravely revealed that she was diagnosed with Bipolar II disorder in 2001 and had tried to keep the illness hidden. Bipolar II disorder involves periods of depression and hypomania, which can sometimes overwhelm the stress of the holidays.
However, Mariah has credited her friends and family with providing her love and support, and she enjoys spending Christmas with them. Here she was celebrating with her family in 2017.
Beyonce
One thing is certain: Queen B knows how to have fun. Beyonce connects with her followers and inspires many, including her three children. We wonder if she and Jay-Z will establish a Christmas talent show tradition with the kids.
It’s evident from old family Christmas photos that Beyonce was reared with holiday family cheer. She wore this Christmas tree outfit to Jay-office Z’s party to show off her Christmas zeal!
Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, unlike most people, does not celebrate Christmas. Gordan-Levitt was raised Jewish, but his parents were not particularly strict about religious practices. Christmas has never really been something Gordon-Levitt has been interested in celebrating in the traditional sense.
However, Joseph enjoys singing, so if you get him near a piano and ask him to sing a Christmas song, he’ll most likely serenade you. Some call his holiday party singing “legendary,” especially when accompanied by fellow holiday aficionado Seth Rogen.
Oprah Winfrey
Nobody will ever forget when Oprah Winfrey yelled, “You all get free cars!” Oprah is well-known not only for her years of inspiring interviews and a well-known book club but also for her incredible generosity. But what does Oprah do for herself and her family over the holiday season? She’s throwing a dinner party!
Oprah spent more than 40 years attending Christmas dinner at her grandmother’s house, and now that her grandmother has passed away, she hosts her fabulous Christmas dinners with her long-time partner, Stedman Graham, and close friends such as Gayle King. They even have matching Christmas pajamas!
Pink
No mother is flawless. Every evening in December, Elf on a Shelf generates a ludicrous scramble for many moms who want to start a delightful tradition with their children. Given her #momfail last year, singer Pink presumably has a daily reminder in her calendar for this December to move that pesky elf.
But it appears that the kids still believe in Santa because one of them wrote a letter about how their elf, Chippy, hadn’t moved in three days, and they weren’t sure why! Whoops! Pink publicized her blunder by posting the letter on Instagram.
