Marry in secret
Cher and Sonny had a secret marriage in Tijuana, Mexico, in a hotel room. The said wedding, however, was not legal as it had no witnesses (literally!). Despite this, the couple saw it as a real union. Cher was only 18 at that time and was totally head-over-heels with Sonny. Vows were exchanged, and rings were given inside that hotel room. Their $10 rings were engraved with their names. The marriage, however, was kept a secret for a while.
