In 2018, Chris Pratt portrayed the character of Star-Lord in the Avengers: Infinity War and of course, drama ensued. While Chris did a great job in the role, he faced quite a bit of hate from fans because his character is a bit unethical and arguably ruins Avengers 4. In an interview with Radio Times, he stated, “People seem to be upset with Star-Lord. Look – the guy watched his mother die, he watched as his father-figure died in his arms, he was forced to kill his own biological father. And now has suffered the loss of the love of his life.” When defending the character, Pratt continued, “So I think he reacted in a way that’s very human, and I think the humanity of the Guardians of the Galaxy is what sets them apart from other superheroes…..I think if we did it a hundred times I wouldn’t change a motherf***ing thing.”

He Got Paid Way More Than Bryce Howard
Besides that, in 2018, he starred in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. There was much controversy about the divergent salaries of Chris Pratt and his co-star Bryce Dallas. Universal paid Chris Pratt a reported $10 million for his work, while his co-star Bryce Dallas earned $8 million. There was considerable moral outrage as this is arguably yet another an example of gender-based pay disparity in Hollywood.
