At first, nothing was too out of the ordinary when Anna Faris and Chris Pratt began dating. Then, they went to a friend’s wedding in Bali and everything changed. They decided to elope, but both of them had gotten sick with food poisoning. Faris told the Irish Independent in May 2018 about what happened, saying, “I was looking for chicken broth on the room service menu and saw the hotel also did weddings. While still feverish, Chris said, ‘Let’s do it.’ So the staff found us some traditional Balinese clothes and a local priest. We had no idea what was going on, but we came back married.”

In 2009 after they got married in Bali, the press exploded with headlines about Anna Faris getting married. Obviously, all the headlines referenced Anna Faris at the time since she was the bigger star. People magazine ran the headline “Anna Faris Is Married!” in August, saying “Anna Faris and her actor beau, Chris Pratt, now can say they’ve tied the knot.” In addition, a representative for Anna Faris also confirmed to them that Faris married Pratt on July 9.
