Going Through A Few Training Runs
In June 1945, the Stickleback left for Pearl Hawaii. It arrived in Hawaii after a journey of six days. After that, it went through several training runs before it was deployed to Apra Harbor in Guam on the Pacific. The US had retrieved the island from the hands of the Japanese after a bitter fight in August 1944.
