Kevin Costner’s first true love might have been acting, though he has mentioned that he finds fatherhood a more fulfilling task. “Movies are magic, and they’ve always been magic to me,” the star lamented, “You get to play heroes in the movies, but there’s a moment in time where you’re just a father and you get to go home. I have played two roles in my life, one I get paid to do, which is the movies, and the other one is being a father, for which I’ll be rewarded my whole life.”

“Sometimes you learn the thing you’re most afraid of will save your life,” Costner said. Can you believe that he was, at some point, so frightened of commitment? It’s a great thing he overcame this fear and he is now married to Christine, someone 20 years his junior. They have been together for 18 years, and they have three kids between them. It seems that Costner now enjoys playing the roles of a doting husband and father. Christine, meanwhile, appears to be completely happy to spend the rest of her life with her soulmate!
