Foxcatcher
Channing Tatum really needed to go to a dark place in order to play Mark Schultz for Foxcatcher. Of course, one of the harder scenes was to portray Schultz having his mental breakdown. Therefore, Tatum wanted to fully embrace the scene and decided to beat himself up. Actually, he totally went off script and somehow wound up breaking the mirror with just his head. That entire scene was not scripted. Yet, the resulting scene was so powerful, it was the perfect fit for the movie.

The Wolf of Wall Street
Lots of parts in The Wolf of Wall Street were actually unscripted. Director Scorsese envisioned something entirely different when it came to that intimate scene between Margot Robbie and Leonardo DiCaprio’s characters. Actually, he even offered up a robe to Margot Robbie for filming. Yet, it was Robbie herself that insisted that since her character was all about her body and the physical, she must get into that mindset. Thus, she decided to film without a robe, but she did take three shots of tequila first! We don’t blame her!
