Sounds Like A Bad ‘Adult Film’
Just like some of classic scenes in the movie became iconic in their own right, so did the anthem “Time Of My Life”. While this song will forever be associated with romance and dancing lifts, originally the singer-songwriter Bill Medley refused the offer to compose it as the title sounded like a raunchy adult film. Luckily for us, the director convinced him otherwise and the iconic song that we all know and love was written.

Dirty Dancing Reality Show
It seems there were no bounds to the Dirty Dancing spin-offs, as in 2007 a Dirty Dancing reality show was launched in the UK, aptly titled, Dirty Dancing: The Time of Your Life. The show saw contestants compete for first place in a dancing competition and they were actually judged by some of the original cast of the movie. While the show ran for two seasons, it was not renewed again. It seems many of these spin-off shows found it hard to recreate the magic of the original film.
