During his time at the New York Military Academy, he played on the football team. He loved the sport so much that he bought a football team when he was older. Just so you know, he tried to run an American football league that directly competed with the National Football League.

Here is another photo that he shared on his Facebook page. He wrote, “#TBT Myself with mother and father at New York Military Academy. See, I can be very military. High rank!” While he said that he was “very military,” he actually had five draft deferments when the Vietnam war was going on. Out of the five, four were for the years he spent in college. However, the fifth one was granted because he had a medical diagnosis for bone spurs in his heels. There has been scrutiny over this diagnosis as of late. The daughter of the man who gave him the diagnosis said that the podiatrist did this as a “favor” to Fred Trump. Apparently, the older man was the landlord of the doctor!
