You read that correctly, Pulp Fiction totally transformed Travolta’s career but it almost didn’t happen. Quentin Tarantino, the director, met with John Travolta to discuss his vision. Tarantino urged Travolta to take the role in the movie From Dusk Till Dawn. However Travolta wasn’t keen, he insisted on the Pulp Fiction gig. In fact, Tarantino was quite disappointed at his choice and told Travolta that he was just trying to help. Things worked out in the end, though!

Before becoming a star, he used to work odd jobs when he dropped out of school. It was for a purpose though.
