Sir Elton Jon was married to both Linda Woodrow and then Renate Blauel before coming out. Actually in 1976, he interviewed with Rolling Stone saying he was bisexual. After he divorced Blauel, he told Rolling Stone he finally felt ‘comfortable’ as a homosexual. Remember, things were not the same back in the 70s and actually his identification as bisexual brought him lots of hate mail. Many admired his immense courage in coming out.

Most know Alia Shawkat as Maeybe from Arrested Development or even from Search Party. In a 2017 interview with Out, Shawkat came out as bisexual. She said, “I think balancing my male and female energies has been a big part of me growing as an actor. As a woman, an Arab-American, and a member of the LGBTQ community, I have to use whatever voice I have.” Immediately, fans began celebrating her among other LGBTQ celebrities.
