Moving Past Nellie
Once actress Alison Arngrim finished playing Nellie on Little House on the Prairie, she continued to pursue acting. Also, her and Melissa Gilbert stayed close friends for all these years! Arngrim even began doing stand up comedy! In reference to her role as Nellie she joked it was “like having PMS for seven years.” That’s not all. She wrote a comic memoir titled, Confessions of a Prairie B*tch: How I Survived Nellie Oleson and Learned to Love Being Hated and composed an album. Within her memoir, she called out her childhood abuser, but still managed to strike a perfect balance between the serious and light-hearted stuff from her childhood.
