Perhaps, you recall when Ernest Borgnine played Laura’s spirit guide. Well, there’s no denying this actor was a legend in the entertainment industry! For over 60 years, he had role after role in film and television. People will always remember him for roles like Mermaid Man from Spongebob Squarepants and as Lieutenant Commander Quinton McHale on McHale’s Navy. He won an Academy Award for his performance in the 1995 movie, Marty! Then he got nominated for an Emmy at age 92 for his guest appearance in ER. Unfortunately, he died in 2012 when he was 95 years old.
