Close Relationship
Magic Johnson was very close with Jerry Buss, the former Lakers owner. In fact, Johnson even referred to him as a second father and also best friend. He spent give hours with Buss at the hospital only months before Buss died of cancer in 2013. Only hours after Buss passed, Johnson told the media, “Without Dr. Jerry Buss, there is no Magic.”
