Lasting Bond
Saying bye, the men realized the cubs were safe and they too could live to share the tale! Lucky for them, they even captured the whole scene on camera. So, people didn’t need to just take them for their word. Everyone could see the incident on tape. (Others are not always so fortunate, but we will get to that in a bit when we tell a story of a hiker and his encounter with wildlife.) These fishermen were overjoyed at their success and warmed by the bond with the cubs they would remember for life.

Bears are usually extremely aggressive. Even being around cubs can be risky. It is incredible that the fisherman walked away unscathed! What he did was amazing, and without him, the two cubs wouldn’t have lived on.
