The first thing people think of upon hearing Hollywood definitely is not movie fails, but hey, the industry has had its fair share of box office fails. Blockbuster hits aren’t the only films with huge stars either. You may be surprised to hear how many of your favorite stars from Halle Berry or George Clooney to Lynn Collins have starred in huge movies that lost millions. Between high production costs and A-list celebs who cost a hefty fee, sometimes, the movies cannot quite live up to all the hype. However, there are the rare gems that lost millions at the box office, but have become classic movies, beloved and cherished by all. Here are the box office movies that lost the most over the years.
Titan A.E.- Lost $100 Million
With stars like Drew Barrymore and Matt Damon, people were not expecting this big budget 20th Century Fox movie to be a flop. Unfortunately, this animated sci-fi film just did not do well with the fans. After using about $90 million during production and another million here and there for promotion and marketing, the movie did not come close to covering the costs, let alone profiting. Sadly, they only made $37 million from their box office release. So, that left them with a $100 million loss.
