Seeing how successful the show was, producers thought they could turn the film into a smash hit as well. Unfortunately, things didn’t quite work out that way for them. Again, directed by the Wachowskis, this sadly, was not their best work. Also, we can’t blame the talented cast from Emile Hirsch and Christina Ricci to Susan Sarandon and John Goodman. However, the film ended up flopping and costing the production company between $73 and $81 million.

Of course, everyone in Hollywood wanted to capitalize on the steamy romance that was J-Lo and Ben Affleck. When Revolution Studios had the couple star in this romantic action/comedy, they thought it would be a sure hit. Somehow, the couple’s love wasn’t enough to get audiences to fall for their film. The studio ended up losing $72 million.
