Hard Work
Béla managed to recruit Nadia, and the duo started working together. Each day, Nadia trained for a total of three hours as she was driven by her insatiable desire to win. Béla and Márta was absolutely impressed by Nadia’s burgeoning talent as well as exceptional form. Nadia was unstoppable — it didn’t matter that she fell down numerous times as she got up every single time, ready to give it a go once more.
Ups And Downs
Thanks to the rigorous training regime that her coaches had her go through, Nadia Comăneci got to compete in the Romanian National Junior Championship at the tender age of eight years old. Even though she was ranked 13th, no easy feat for someone very young, she was disappointed that she lost. However, she didn’t lose hope and even got more motivated to achieve success. This drive was what brought Nadia back to the Championships the next year, and this time, she placed first.
