Teddy’s veterinarian attributed his ill health to his inability to move gracefully. He wasn’t very active for a dog and gained a lot of weight, which only added to his already had problems. Overweight dogs are more likely to develop problems with their joints, ligaments, and bones, as well as internal organ dysfunction, high blood pressure, and diabetes. Teddy would have to lose weight and be on a diet for quite some time as if his situation wasn’t bad enough.
