Best known for having starred in numerous Hollywood classics, her character Melanie in the movie adaptation of Gone with the Wind is probably the role she is best known for. In addition to this, Havilland was also quite popular for her hugely famous team-up with actor Errol Flynn. In fact, the pair have been in several popular films such as Captain Blood, Dodge City, and The Adventures of Robin Hood. We are hoping that she enjoys her time as a retiree since she certainly deserves it!

We have mentioned Julie Andrews, so it is natural that we also talk about her The Sound of Music co-star Christopher Plummer. Chris portrayed the character Captain Von Trapp in the film. Just because this actor is already 88 years old does not mean he is weak and fragile, actually quite the opposite, as he still continues to act! It appears that he has no plans of retiring any time in the near future. As a matter of fact, his performance in the mystery film All the Money in the World in 2017 has recently earned him a nomination for an Academy Award.
