Dura started working for KXTV in Sacramento, KPHO in Phoenix, WSVN in Miami, and then WPLG in Fort Lauderdale and Miami after she graduated from Mississippi State University. She has appeared on national TV programs such as World News and Good Morning America as well. In 2012, when she moved to WPLG from WSVN before her contract ended, she became the topic of controversy.
