Sam and Layla had been dating for two years when they decided to take their love to the next level and marry. It was going to be the best day of their lives, and they knew their beloved families would be there to support them. Sam couldn’t wait to finally call Layla his wife because she looked stunning in her white gown. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and the pair were set to exchange rings as husband and wife for the first time. But then something strange happened. Sam gasped in pain and dropped onto the floor as she was ready to place the ring on Layla’s finger. Everyone was taken aback and raced to assist her.
Going in labor
The guests were stunned into silence as Layla, the hugely pregnant bride, sank onto her knees during the wedding ceremony. Sam, her soon-to-be husband, could see it on her face: the baby was on its way!
Fortunately, there was a doctor on hand to assist Layla in giving birth on the scene. But as Sam saw the baby’s face, his joy at the birth of his son vanished…
Everybody was shocked
Nobody in the audience could believe what they were seeing. Many had turned away their sight when Layla gave birth, but the handful who remained with Sam practically screamed when they saw the newborn baby’s face…
Even just having a small peek from the baby was enough to shock just about anyone.
Suddenly it all made sense
Layla was well aware of how she seemed, and it was evident that she was mortified beyond belief. And it immediately became clear to Sam why Layla was so adamant about being married before giving a baby.
All of his feelings for her swiftly turned to pure hatred. It was as if all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into their places once he understood why she was acting the way she was.
Throwing his wedding ring
He grabbed his wedding ring and tossed it through the church before storming out. He didn’t want to see Layla again… But what was wrong with the baby’s face?
Why did Sam respond this way, and why did Layla want to marry before having children?
A wedding and a pregnancy
Sam was aware that planning his wedding with Layla so close to her due date might not be the best choice. Sam had tried to convince Layla to postpone the wedding until later in the year, but she refused.
But he couldn’t change her mind… He tried everything from explaining why it isn’t a good idea to suggesting different dates they could reschedule the wedding to.
Layla did not want to wait
Layla began pressing for Sam’s marriage as soon as she found out she was pregnant. The pregnancy was not intended, and Sam had not proposed to Layla. But none of that seemed to matter after the parents opted to keep the baby…
Layla wanted to get married immediately and didn’t care if Sam hasn’t proposed yet.
Afraid she could not get pregnant
Layla had been scared for a long time that she might be unable to conceive because of a uterine operation she underwent years ago.
So when she found out she was pregnant, she didn’t want to give it up because it might be her only opportunity.
Wanting to be a father
Sam had always wanted to be a parent, therefore he was all for keeping the baby. And he was also persuaded that Layla was the appropriate person with whom to establish a family, but he felt like the wedding and its preparations were rushed owing to the pregnancy.
It felt like there wasn’t enough preparation set for the wedding, it was as if it was being done just because she was pregnant.
Keeping Layla happy
But he went along with everything to make his future wife happy. He was attempting to keep as much stress and anguish away from her as possible while she was carrying his child. He also did most of the wedding planning.
He didn’t mind doing most of the work if it meant it would keep Layla happy and stress free, it was a resposibility he was willing to take on.
3 weeks before the due date
Their wedding date was planned around three weeks before Layla was due to give birth to their child. This should have been plenty of time, but Sam was well aware that newborns did not always adhere to strict timetables…
He was worried because there was a chance that Layla would still end up being pregnant on the wedding day itself and even worse give birth during the wedding day.
Getting more nervous
Layla and Sam became increasingly worried as the wedding date approached. Layla became increasingly ill as the days passed, which was normal at this time of the pregnancy. Was she still adamant about carrying forward with the wedding?
Sam became more and more worried for Layla, he thought perhaps now Layla would consider rescheduling their wedding, however with the amount of planning he’s done it would no longer be possible.
Going to a doctor
But Sam was unsure and encouraged Layla to accompany him to the doctor and let him decide whether getting married in a few of weeks was a smart idea. And, as one might assume, the doctor was not thrilled with the concept.
The very idea of continuing on a wedding when you are near your due date is a very risky idea in itself, and honestly is something you wouldn’t need to ask a doctor for, it’s just straight up common sense.
Very much against the wedding
He agreed with Sam that it was insane to do something so emotionally exhausting and momentous so soon to give birth.
The doctor was obviously against them going through with the wedding with Layla’s current situation even if she gave birth before the wedding she would still need time to recuperate after giving birth.
Something Was Wrong
So, even though the doctor couldn’t establish what was wrong with Layla’s health, there was something wrong with her decision-making…
The doctor was mainly confused as to why Layla would choose to do their wedding at this time, since it would also be surely more exhausting for her than anyone else involved since she’s the pregnant one.
No changing Layla’s mind
Sam was prepared to phone all of the guests and advise them that the wedding had to be rescheduled owing to the pregnancy, armed with the doctor’s stern advice.
Layla, on the other hand, had not changed her mind and had expressly forbidden Sam from moving the wedding. It was either now or never for her…
Why was Layla like this?
Sam had been considerate up until this point, but he had had enough. He insisted that Layla provide him with a compelling cause for jeopardizing her health and that of their unborn boy to marry as soon as feasible. How could that be so significant?
He wanted a straight and reasonable answer as to why she was acting the way she was.
Religious motives
Layla finally offered Sam an answer after some thought. But it was not the response he had hoped for or expected. She told him she was concerned her religious grandparents would criticize her if she had a child before marriage.
Indeed in religious households, it is quite frowned upon if you have a child out of wedlock, and it seems this was Layla’s reason. However Sam wasn’t buying it…
A clear excuse
Even though Sam was aware that Layla had very religious grandparents who would undoubtedly judge her, they were likely to judge her anyhow because it was obvious that they had sex before marriage. That infant did not appear out of nowhere…
It was being transparent to Sam that what Layla said was simply an excuse… but why? why would she feel the need to create an excuse like that? Why couldn’t she have just stated the truth?
Not able to convince Layla
He told Layla that, but she kept her narrative straight and said that her grandparents would be displeased about the baby being born.
Layla wasn’t changing her reason, she was adamant that that was the reason she wanted to get married immediately even with the risk of giving birth at the wedding.
No Way of Changing Her Mind
Sam had realized by this point that he was not going to be able to persuade Layla.
He tried almost everything but there was no budging Layla , she put her foot down when she said she wanted to have the wedding.
Unlike her
Sam couldn’t get his head around Layla’s weird conduct, but to be honest, it wasn’t wholly out of character for his lover. At least, not given how often she had lied to him in the previous few days…
Though there were some things he could understand, there was other stuff that was making him question Layla.
Lying through her teeth
He was well aware that she was lying through her teeth about her religious grandparents. He’d only met them once because Layla didn’t keep in touch with them very often, and yeah, they believed in god, but not to the amount that would make them angry.
It wasn’t clear to Sam why Layla would lie to him about that, he wasn’t mad because she wanted to get married but simply because she wasn’t telling him the truth, and that she wanted to get married at the risk of her own health.
Excuses
Sam had had enough of his girlfriend not being entirely honest with him. But the trouble was that he never had enough evidence to back up his accusations.
It was clear to him she was lying, but he didn’t really have any solid evidence to prove what he was speculating.
Nothing he could do
As a result, he couldn’t do anything about it. He tried to talk to her, but she always made excuses for her actions.
He tried confronting her several times attempting to have a conversation about it, but she just found a way to make excuses and sometimes even just avoid the conversation entirely.
The girl of his dreams
When Sam first met Layla, he soon understood she was the girl of his dreams. He fell head over heels in love with her, and she appears to have done the same.
Layla is Sam’s first love, she was everything he could ask for, and he wouldn’t have traded her for all the wealth in the world.
Together
They did everything together and seemed to have created an unbreakable relationship. But recently, something had begun to shift…
Just when Sam thought everything was smooth sailing, something changed, it was as like Titanic suddenly hit an iceberg.
She changed
Layla’s personality evolved with time, and she grew easily agitated. She used to be so sweet and affectionate, but Sam didn’t recognize her anymore.
It was like Layla did a whole personality shift though Sam could no longer recognize her it didn’t change the fact that he was still very much in love with her.
Self-improvement
Layla had told him she wanted to improve herself for him and their future family, but Sam questioned whether she was capable of doing so.
It wasn’t like Sam was doubting Layla’s capabilities to self improve but because of how much time they’ve spent together Sam had the right background to question Layla’s statements.
The wedding was happening
The wedding was happening whether he liked it or not. Because, despite everything, he still wanted to marry Layla and was ecstatic about the birth of their child. As a result, he began making final preparations for the event.
He did everything he had to do, buy the clothes they needed, rent the event place, the food, the invitations, and basically just everything. Sam made sure that all was ready for their wedding.
Layla felt better
Fortunately, Layla appeared to be feeling better. Even if she was faking it a little, Sam gained some confidence from it. And when the wedding day approached, Sam could honestly claim he was looking forward to it.
Seeing Layla feel better was enough to make Sam more calm during the event. He was extremely excited to be marrying the love of his life.
The day arrived
On the day, all of the friends and family arrived, and Sam was waiting to greet them at the church’s entrance. Layla was getting ready in the rear, and he wasn’t allowed to see her until she came to the altar to meet him.
There was a lot of suspense on Sam’s part, he very much wanted to see Layla in her beautiful white dress.
Not seeing Layla today
Sam was aware that Layla was nervous, but that she was in the capable hands of her mother and sister. He wasn’t thinking about her or the baby since he was too preoccupied with making sure everything went perfectly on the day.
But thankfully there were family members by Layla’s side so Sam could have the comfortability of focusing solely on the preparation of their wedding.
Worry
Sam became concerned as the day progressed because he hadn’t heard from Layla or her mother all day. He had texted her several times and was perplexed as to why she had not responded.
This worried Sam very much, his pregnant fiance and her mother weren’t responding to him, perhaps something bad happened? was there an accident? why weren’t they responding?
Something Off
He kept telling himself she was in good hands, but something didn’t feel quite right. And he was about to face much worse news.
Things weren’t just looking right, something was telling Sam that things weren’t gonna be that easy after all.
Something was wrong
But, just as everyone was settling in for the wedding and Sam was about to make his way to the aisle, he received his first piece of disturbing news.
Could you imagine what was going through Sam’s mind? what he thought would be the day that would be filled with joy and happiness was met with problematic news.
She Wasn’t Okay
Layla was not doing well, according to her sister. She wasn’t feeling well and needed some more time to get ready.
This sent Sam into overthinking mode, he felt extremely worried and anxious for Layla, now he wasn’t even thinking of the wedding he was just worried for Layla’s health and if she was okay.
No need to worry
Sam, on the other hand, was advised not to worry and that everything will be fine. The wedding was still scheduled to go place, and he simply had to inform everyone that they would have to wait a little longer.
Even if Sam was panicking in his mind, he had to keep himself together and hold his composure since there were guests present.
A Feeling
But Sam had a hunch something horrible was about to happen.
He just had a feeling that things were about to go very wrong.
Speculations
He had no notion what was going on in the back. Because he couldn’t be with his future wife.
He had to wait at the altar after all he couldn’t just leave that would cause confusion among the guests.
The Guests
Sam chose to spend his time trying to calm down the guests. Nobody here knew what was going on, and the rumors were flying.
The guests started talking amongst themselves creating rumors and speculations as to why the bride hasn’t come out yet.
Sam agreed with the guests
Many people remarked on how foolish it was to hold the wedding so soon to Layla’s due date. What if something was wrong with the baby right now? Sam wanted to agree with them totally, but he held back his thoughts…
As much as Sam wanted to agree with the guests, he didn’t want to cause any further problems or worse talk about his bride behind her back at their wedding.
Avoiding conflict
This was not the time for him to publicly dispute with his wife on such an important matter.
There was a time for everything Sam believed, and this wasn’t the time for conflict.
Supporting his wife to be
He needed to support her now when she couldn’t defend herself, even though he didn’t agree with her. But the truth will eventually be disclosed to everyone…
Sam was very much a loving fiancee, even when disagreeing with his Bride he would still defend her to others.
Still no word
The more the guests waited for Layla, the more agitated they became. Everyone cared about her on some level, and they were concerned that something was severely wrong with her.
And no one came out to tell them what was going on! causing even more confusion to stir up between the guests.
Demanding to see his wife
Sam was also tired of waiting after nearly two hours of attempting to calm everyone down. He knew where Layla should be, so he went to the door and began pounding on it, demanding to know what was going on and to be let in.
Sam decided to leave the altar and see what was going on with Layla, after all it wasn’t only Sam who as worried now, so were the guests present.
A racing heart
His heart was racing as he hammered on the door, and his thoughts were racing. He couldn’t help but think about Layla and what she was going through.
What was happening to Layla? is she okay? did something bad happen? These were the thoughts racing through Sam’s mind as he was pounding on the door.
Wanting to be with her
He urgently wanted to be with her because he was afraid anything would go wrong. This was no longer simply his fiancee; she was the mother of his child.
this was causing him immense panic and anxiety, after all in this scenario who wouldn’t be worried sick?!
What happened to Layla
He received no reaction at first, and the door was locked. This frightened him even more. Perhaps Layla had fled? Did she have any reservations that she hadn’t shared with him?
Sam began to yell that he was going to kick in the door if they did not open it immediately away, and it was only then that she received a reaction…
Almost ready
They appeared to be almost finished. Sam was informed that he needed to get the guests back into their seats as soon as possible and go wait on the altar.
This wedding was going to happen, and it had to happen right now! Sam was hesitant at first, but he decided to go with it…
Waiting at the altar
It only took him a few minutes to get everything in order. Even the preacher had taken his place, prepared to legally bond Layla and Sam to each other for the rest of their lives.
Waiting on the Bride
Everyone was quiet in anticipation of what was going to happen as the previously closed door unexpectedly opened.
The bride was about to enter the room, the guests stood in anticipation.
Was Layla In Pain?
Layla departed cautiously and slowly while clinging to her father’s arm. On her journey to the alter, she passed by guests who could not help but notice…
That she seemed wrong despite how gorgeous she looked. She appeared to have been crying. Or that she was suffering…
People Knew Something Was Wrong
As much as she could, Layla tried to smile, but the closer she drew to the altar, the more frequently a grimace of misery took its place. When her father let go of her arm, she almost fell to the ground but caught herself in time.
The noise in the room increased in volume. What in the world was happening?
No Eye Contact
Sam was able to tell that Layla was struggling. No matter how hard she tried to cover it, the emotion on her face was obvious. She was suffering.
Layla didn’t even attempt to establish eye contact with him as he tried to talk to her through his stare.
The Pastor Had To Be Quick
Having trouble standing up straight, Layla took a seat at the altar. She requested the preacher to hurry up as she turned to face him while crying.
Sam turned to face his future wife, and the look on his face said it all. “Why are you doing this..?”
The Long-awaited Yes
Sam was really unhappy with the circumstance and was anxious to get Layla to a hospital as soon as possible. But it was obvious to him that she would not consent to this until she was wearing the ring.
They had mutually acknowledged their marriage. A long-awaited affirmative
Very Important To Her
He didn’t know why, but he knew how significant this was to her. It didn’t matter to him when they got married, but he couldn’t help but think of Layla’s irate grandparents.
No Vows
As a result, the minister rushed right to the vows after swiftly skipping over some of his text that didn’t seem to be all that necessary.
Layla was supposed to deliver them first, but it was obvious that she wasn’t in any condition to do so.
It Just Did Not Feel Right
Sam had no idea if any vows had ever been attempted to be written. He had them ready, but he didn’t think it was time to read them right now.
In all honesty, neither Layla nor he were in the proper state of mind for it.
No Longer About Love
It had all changed to being about finishing it as quickly as possible. Ever since Layla found out that she was pregnant.
Sam was unsure about his want to follow through with this because it wasn’t even really about love anymore.
He Was Doubting
They were almost ready to offer their long-awaited yes. Sam was still hesitant to say anything, though. With each word the pastor said, sweat began to accumulate on his forehead.
He had to decide quickly or risk doing something he would later regret. A terrible silence
A Dreadful Silence
Layla was the first to answer the pastor’s question, and despite her discomfort, she answered with assurance. The pastor then turned to face Sam.
Sam didn’t respond when the question was put to him. He paused a bit too long and turned to face Layla, who was now on the verge of tears.
He Said Yes
Sam turned to face the audience, who all appeared to be lost for words. He finally replied “yes” after that. He wasn’t certain it was the best choice, but he didn’t feel he had any other options.
He could feel the audience members’ sighs of relief, but he no longer dared to look at them. Had he just committed a big mistake?
Layla Collapsed
But someone else would shortly make that choice for him. Layla tumbled to the ground screaming just as the preacher was about to pronounce Layla and Sam husband and wife.
Everyone was aware of what was going, and she could simply not contain herself any longer.
No Time For Questions
Sam bombarded Layla with a ton of inquiries and remarks. But at this moment, it didn’t seem like any of them mattered because the main priority was to deliver this kid safely.
But as soon as this child entered the world, Sam had many of his questions resolved.
A Medical Professional
It was a great blessing that the doctor was already at the wedding since she was able to deliver the baby swiftly. The majority of the visitors were avoiding looking at what was going on at the altar.
Those who were still watching were in awe of what they were witnessing.
Almost time to push
She leapt into action, helping Layla onto a stretcher that she had brought. She was astonished to see that it was almost time to push when she saw how far advanced Layla was.
There was no more time to get her some solitude, so the medical professional motioned for everyone to make room.
A lot of pain
Layla screamed in agony as she lay on the floor, with her bridal dress providing any protection. Sam attempted to make her feel better, but she was having none of it.
There was nothing Sam could do to help… He could only stand by and watch it all unfold.
Too Much Pain
She sobbed as she seized his hands and ordered him to stop talking. She needed to start pushing immediately, the medical professional advised after taking another look.
Layla was feeling unbearable pain at the moment.
Confused looks
Layla continued to push, and soon the baby was coming out. The doctor informed Layla that the baby was already crowning and only needed one more push.
They were at the last stretch only a few more pushes were needed to get the baby out.
What was happening?
Sam, though, couldn’t get over the impression that the doctor appeared perplexed. What in the world was happening there?
What kind of expression was the doctor making that warranted Sam’s attention?
The baby
As Layla pushed her child into the world, the room was filled with one last scream. Her baby began to cry after she screamed, and everyone in the room gasped.
Sam stared at the infant and then at the individuals nearby, but no one spoke while his eyes remained wide open.
Everybody was shocked
They shared Sam’s disbelief at being there. The only people who didn’t look astonished were Layla’s mother and sister. only humiliated.
But not quite as ashamed as Layla was. She was aware that her secret was now public and that she would be held accountable.
Not Sam’s child
This baby definitely wasn’t from Sam, as was evident. Little could be inferred from the baby’s skin tone. Without a shadow of a doubt, Layla had cheated on Sam and had a child with an additional bed fellow.
And she had undoubtedly known this…
She cheated
Everything clicked into place at once. the annoyances, the shift in her demeanor, and her lack of affection. She was lying. Sam watched as his entire world disintegrated in front of him.
As he stared at Layla and the child, tears began to rise up, but he was unable to speak. He was simply too startled.
Calming Himself Down
He was finally able to gather himself. His amazement quickly gave way to fury.
Layla was too ashamed to answer his question about what she had done.
Demanding an explanation
The least he could expect from her was an explanation, so he demanded one.
Layla finally informed everyone the truth after taking a glance at the ground.
Everything made sense now
It would find out that she had wanted to get married before giving birth for exactly this reason.
She wanted to get legally married to Sam so that he could not just leave her after learning the baby’s race.
Layla had always known
Additionally, she would receive at least half of his money if he decided to still leave her. That was Layla’s strategy, but there were several flaws in it.
Layla was unaware that a month after the marriage became lawful, it could still be declared invalid. Fortunately, it stopped before it even got that far.
Sam was furious
Sam was absolutely furious at Layla. She had cheated on him and, knowingly kept a big secret from him. there was no way he was going to get married to her and not even a chance he was going to stay together with this woman.
And nobody could disagree with him
Throwing the wedding ring away
He grabbed the wedding band, hurled it into the audience, and rushed off stage, leaving Layla behind in the hands of her family when she was still extremely weak.
He had no desire to see her ever again. He sped home, seized Layla’s possessions, and then drove them to her mother’s house in a fit of wrath.
Nobody blamed him
He made arrangements to have the locks changed that day by calling a locksmith. Nobody could blame him for wanting to avoid all contact with Layla in the future.
Layla had horribly broken his confidence and even made an effort to get anything from it.
Layla felt horrible
Later, Layla and her child were taken to a hospital, where they both were doing well. As she recovered after childbirth, her mother and sister were with her the entire time.
She tried phoning Sam several times since she was so ashamed of what she had done. She didn’t want to live without him and had no intention of allowing it to occur.
The end
Sam, however, had no desire to ever speak with Layla again. Even her mother’s phone number was blocked by him. Following that, he moved on and found the partner he deserved.
He had a devoted wife and child. In the end, Layla wed the father of her child and got divorced. The end.
