It turns out that the way Rupert and Kate separated was, in fact, so amicable that they invited each other to their respective weddings. When Kate was just about to get married to Prince William, she felt compelled to invite Finch, who had been dating Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs at the time. They obliged without a second thought. Just two years later, Rupert and Natasha were engaged and returned the favor by inviting Kate and William to the wedding.
