Another lady in Prince Charles’ life was Scottish Anna Wallace. Known as “Whiplash Wallace” for her fiery temper, it is said that Anna turned down two marriage proposals from Charles and ended their relationship after the Queen Mother’s 80th birthday ball. Anna claimed that the Prince invited her but ignored her all night, allegedly saying to him, “I have never been so badly treated in my life. You’ve left me alone all evening and now you will have to continue without me.”

While Anna could have married Charles and become the Princess of England, it seems like it just wasn’t meant to be. Even though she declined proposals from the Prince, she went on to marry an entrepreneur, Johnny Hesketh. He’s the youngest son of the third Lord Hesketh, but his marriage to Anna wasn’t meant to last. The couple got a divorce and Wallace went on to marry Tom Oates later on. After 16 years of marriage, the pair got divorced as well.
