First Arab Astronaut
In 1985, Saudi Arabia surprised practically everyone when the country sent the first ever Arab astronaut to space. The first Saudi, first Arab, and first Muslim to go into space was Prince Sultan bin Salman. He was aboard the space shuttle called “Discovery”.

“Winston’s Hiccup”
Have you heard the joke about Winston Churchill, the former UK Prime Minister, and the land area of Saudi Arabia? Well, according to the joke, Churchill was drinking brandy while he was drawing up Saudi Arabia’s and Jordan’s boundaries. Because he had too much to drink, he hiccuped which led to his hand slipping and granting Saudi Arabia a couple of thousand miles extra.
