Since its borders are rather restless, Saudi Arabia has decided to build walls and fences in order to protect itself from threats from neighbors. Case in point: the Yemeni civil war which has erupted to the south and the threat of ISIS from the north.

Sure, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa is tall, but there is a new thing coming that is going to break the record. In 2020, the huge Jeddah Tower will be the tallest building in the world. It will also have the name “Kingdom Tower” and the building will become the first to surpass the 1-kilometer mark.
