In The Blind Side, Michael Oher’s love of football is due to his adoptive mother, Leigh Anne. He was not interested in football before that in the film. This is one big part of the movie Michael Oher says is not true. He agreed Leigh Anne helped him along the way, but he was interested in playing on his own.

Racial Tension
Obviously, race and racial tension was a big theme in the film. According to Michael Oher, the film didn’t nearly depict this part of his story accurately. He stated it took time for the Oher family to treat him as their own son and they were initially reluctant as was the school and community.
