Surprisingly, Jim Morrison was actually a military brat growing up. His father was in the army and thus, the family moved around a lot. Actually, his dad, Steve Morrison, served in the second World War as an elite US fighter pilot. He also got a Bronze Star for his heroism in the combat zone of the Korean War.
