Sinbad’s next challenge was to gain weight-he was seriously malnourished when he was found. “We had a volunteer come up who was really good at having cats to feed, started making growls, putting them in his mouth, and after six days he began feeding on his own,” said Dr. Robyn Barbiers, founder of the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society.

When he was healthy enough, Sinbad had to be placed up for adoption. However, something happened when it was being marketed. He had a strong relationship between himself and his foster parent. “The first day I took him home and he just decided to lay on my chest and purr and chirp and be with me,” said his foster parent. “It told me that he wanted to stay”
