This shouldn’t have been possible since the device was invented during the 15th century. The story of Robin Hood takes place in the 12th century. Thus, the introduction of the telescope was a few centuries too early.

Take Amy Adams’s character as an example. She had braces on in spite of the movie being set in 1963. The orthodontic device was only introduced in the ‘70s.
