And so Celine and Rene got married on December 19, 1994. Their wedding is said to be one of the biggest weddings of the year, and it’s not that much of a stretch to say that it was as grand as any royal wedding. The wedding was held at Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica and the ceremony was even covered by Canadian TV. Many fans were excited to see Celine start a new chapter of her life.

Her wedding dress was designed by Mirella and Steve Gentile. Celine’s wedding gown took more than 1,000 hours to complete! The dress comes with a 20-foot long trail. Her wedding ensemble would be complemented by a 20-pound tiara. Celine was indeed a royal princess at her wedding. Her outfit became a topic of discussion for many people all over the world!
