That classic lift scene became one of the most iconic movie moments of all time. However, Jennifer and Swayze had to jump through uncomfortable hoops to get that picture-perfect scene. That’s because the lift on the lake was shot in North Carolina, whilst the other scenes were shot in Virginia. It was also filmed in October while the lake was uncomfortably cold. In reality, the scene had to be shot from further away to hide the fact that their lips had turned blue from the freezing weather!
