Although Swayze originally wanted Jennifer Grey to take on the part of Baby, before she was given the role she still had to prove herself. That’s because Jennifer was ten years older than the character she was playing, so she was given a five minute audition to show she could pull it off. Well, it actually took only took five minutes to do the trick and Jennifer then landed one of the most symbolic roles of her acting career.
