Before Little House on the Prairie, Karen Grassle had little acting experience. Once she became known as Caroline Ingalls, everything changed. When the show ended she left Hollywood for New Mexico. There she opened the Santa Fe Resource Theater Company, but then she came back to California and later starred in Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner. She’s been in numerous shows and films like Hotel and Harry’s War. Grassle was even inducted into the very special Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum for her performance as Ma.
