What About Laura Ingalls?
Of course, we have to update you on Melissa Gilbert after starring as Laura Ingalls. After her big break, she starred in Heart of the Storm and The Diary of Anne Frank. In addition, she’s appeared on shows like, Babylon 5, Nip/Tuck, 7th Heaven, Dancing with the Stars and Batman: The Animated Series. Besides acting, Gilbert also ran as a Democrat for Michigan’s 8th congressional district, but dropped out after winning the primary due to health concerns. After her on and off relationship with the famous Rob Lowe, she got married three different times. Her first husband was actor Bo Brinkman. Then, Gilbert married another actor, Bruce Boxleitner. In 2013, she again married an actor, Timothy Busfield, who she is currently with. Gilbert opened up about everything from her battle with drugs and alcohol to the LHOTP set in her autobiography.
