A Lesson
It was at that moment that it dawned on him – it was he who saved her life, it was he who granted her the opportunity to have a baby of her own. But then, in all the excitement, he thought about how much joy and love she had brought into his life, “I’m her world now and she is mine. Sometimes I wonder: was it me who saved her, or is it the other way around?” Sure, wild animals can end up teaching us about life, just like this fawn did for another man in the next story.
