Annette Bening
Like Mirren, she also began her career by studying theater. Bening studied theater in university and then in 1980, she joined the Colorado Shakespeare Festival Company. She starred in Macbeth and Pygmalion, to name a few. Her on-screen debut came with the television film, Manhunt for Claude Dallas. That small role helped launch her whole career. Once the 90’s hit, she picked up numerous nominations like an Oscar and Screen Actors Guild Award for her work in movies like American Beauty. She’s still acting to this day.

During her time studying theater at NYU, Jami Gerz got discovered by a talent agent. Her first on-screen film role came with a small part in On the Right Track (1981). Then her real break came with her role as Muffy in Square Pegs. Next, she continued to flourish with roles in television shows like, ER, The Facts of Life, Ally McBeal and HBO’s Entourage.
