Okay to be clear, this is the 2016 Ben-Hur, not the original movie. Well you know how it goes with remake movies…This one tanked. Although we love Jack Huston as Richard Harrow in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, he just couldn’t save this film and neither could his costar Morgan Freeman. Filming was delaying often and the crew faced numerous obstacles during production. Sadly, they lost somewhere between $76 to $120 million.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword – Lost $150 Million

Hearing that this movie was going to be about King Arthur with Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy as the lead, got many excited. Oh, and it didn’t hurt that director Guy Ritchie was working with a $175 million budget. Unfortunately, they were competing with Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 during their release. So, they ended up losing around $150 million.
