After watching the immense success of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, who would ever predict that a pirate movie would fail so epicly? Well, this predated any of those films. Anyway, this 1995 movie starring Geena Davis and Matthew Modine was met with horrible reviews and no commercial success. The production company lost about $89 million.
