The native of Florida was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale and later received her degree from the University of Florida in Telecommunication. To obtain her Master’s degree in Geoscience, Shay Ryan later attended Mississippi State University. Her successful career has brought her to various parts of the nation. It was assigned to cover hot waves, hurricanes , floods, and storms in Georgia, New York, Michigan, and Mississippi. She is currently working for WFTS-TV out of Tampa and St. Petersburg as a meteorologist.
