Generally, Little House on the Prairie told a light story about a family living in Minnesota. However, the show did conquer some pretty taboo themes for its time. Even if it was not politically correct to approach certain subjects, Little House on the Prairie took their chances. You probably recall a wide array of sensational topics they touched upon such as, prejudice, rape, addiction and racism. At the time, no other television show was talking about this things so directly. For its time and even now, Little House on the Prairie was groundbreaking!
