While all the men in the Roberson family sport long beards, we doubt that anyone can deny that there is something special about the one Jase had. It is one more reason for the shock everyone felt when he let the world know of his plan. Even though it came as a surprise, there is nothing to be angry about. Mia, his child, had been born with a cleft palate and lip. This is something that occurs naturally, often as a result of the failure of the top lip to form accordingly and the skull to connect with the top of the mouth while still in utero. This might not be a fatal condition and can be addressed with surgery, although it often causes the child to have speech difficulties.
